[crosspost justified because of the "Annotated ANSI C Standard". -mod]
We've all spent hours, either struggling through figuring out something
printed in a inaccurate book, or correcting someone who was having that
problem.
Our tribulations are nearly at an end - Osborne/McGraw-Hill has a web
page, and it gives email addresses for several people.
I call your attention to Schildt's "C: The Complete Reference". A
collection of errors from it was recently posted. The errors (about five,
I believe) were from a two-page spread, chosen at random.
These errors were from the 2nd edition. At a bookstore yesterday, I
saw the 3rd edition. Only *one* of them was fixed. It's time we did
something.

I reccommend that everyone who is aware of these problems take the time to
send one or more of these people email, explaining:
1. What the inaccuracy is.
2. How basic it is.
3. That this is unacceptable in a professional publication.
They aren't going to change until someone lets them know it's a problem.
(Collection of errors available by request.)
